There goes my final day in uni!! We had a 25% test yday and tht was the only 'class' i went yday coz i had skipped the earlier lec to do my assignments and some last minute revision for the test. After finishing the test, before handing in the ppr, our core subj coordinator who was there to conduct the exam gave a few words abt us finishing our 3 yrs course. i was so touched lor... trying hard to hold back the tears. then after we left the lec theatre, saw other ppl taking pics. well, i had taken some pics with some of my biomed frens before the test started. then had to rush to the library (1st floor comp lab in bailieu) to finish up my assignment which is due 2 hours later.
I never used that comp lab before in my entire uni life before last week! haha! should have found that place earlier!
this week had been my crazy week... presentation, assignment, project report and test. my biological clock had been working up-side-down. had been sleeping at 4 or 5 in the morning for few days this week. well, last week of uni... work as hard as i can lor (not that i wont do that if it's not the final week of uni).
after handing in the assignment and report, went to meet up with my biomed frens at maxbrenner.
at nite... k-box time!! muahaha!! we started at 10 something. just me and SW, haha! so syok! then later on SY came, then Elaine, then LeeYen (with her sister-LeePop), then SamSam. we had 1 special guest and 1 'guest singer' - Alice and Alfred :P. we sang till 4 something in the morning. thnx to a fren who works there, gave us some really good deal!! unlimited drinks!! how nice of him!!
after k, we went to Doncaster Pancake Parlour that opens 24 hours. we reach there at 5am, had breakfast there! ya.. my first time there. nice place, nice food, nice frens to chat with. when i was back at home, it's already almost 7 i think. wat a happening day. :) so in holiday mood!!
today woke up at 1 something in the afternoon. went to this Fiesta M'sia at City Square. It's an event for Deepavali and Hari Raya. food stalls, performances and games stalls. when we went there, there was nothin much left. it's almost the end of the event already. then lepak-lepak in the city to buy fren's bday pressie.
how nice if we had finished our exams!! BUT if we really had finished our exams, most ppl would be either going home or went somewhere else for holiday lar.
oh ya... not to forget mentioning abt this... my graduation date!! 14th Dec 3.30pm! muahaha!! that's the date i wanted coz my parents are flying home on the 16th and they couldn't get their flights postponed coz it's all fully-booked. so now it's all good. :)
ya... 5 days left for my undergrad uni life. :( dunno how should i do to leave no regrets. that day, first time ever i went to the comp lab in first floor bailieu lib to book a comp for the discussion of our functional genomics presentation group. feel so 'sua ku' when i failed to scan my own student card. haha! thought of having lunch in union house every single day coz i think i'll miss having lunch in union hs. but... noone to eat with :( next week ctg have no table during lunch time liao...
but anyhow, 不知不觉地，这个production 是我再uni的第6个production了（haha！Alice remind me 的）！这个production 是让我最能感觉到我是part of the big family 的。not that 以前的没有，but 这次认识的人比较多，可以说是几乎每一个人,从admin 到 production team 到 casts 都认识了。
well, 现在又是时候回到assignments, tests and presentation 了。 接下来的两个星期又要拼了！ 17th Oct Functional Genomics test (5%) 20th Functional Genomics presentation (10%) 24th Experimental genetics project presentation 27th Experimental genetics project report (altogether 40%) Genes to Phenotype exam (25%) G & Evolution assignment (10%)
mwahaha!! so happy!! i fixed up the internet connection just now by trial-and-error. and it works!! well, after the tpg technical support ppl told me the correct 'incapsulation' although he couldn't help me do the configuration, i try try then mana tahu it works!
well, today... our FINAL SHOW!! oh no!! that means after today, we'll be back to our study-unilife. was reading some of the comment that other production/admin ppl wrote for me in my booklet. well, in case you dont know, each production will have a production booklet, which is the same as those for the audience. but we in the production or admin team will pass around our own booklet to write some short msg or comment on each other's booklet. and it's always funny ones and touching ones written in the booklets. really enjoy reading those when i get my booklet back at the end of the day. and reading back those comments after some time or even years will be a really enjoyable thing to do.
i'm now thinking whether i should join the cantonese production which is in april next year. not sure if i'm ablt to juggle my time between honours and the production. it's like.. i'll miss the fun of these productions but i really want to do well in my honours. no play play man!!
and this morning, i moved the only pot of plant i have from the balcony to the living room. why?? because the pigeons are back again!! they came here to 'check out' the place for a few times already and they also started to shift some twigs and plastic 'twigs' into the pot. so i better move the pot away before they lay their eggs there! i dont want to have the mess they left me last year again!
wow!! so many 东方神起 video clips here!! i'm not to the extent that i'm obsessed with them yet haha! i know them last year but couldn't find their songs... then as i was watching this korean entertainment show called X-man, they were in the show so it reminded me of their songs. yea.. went to search and manage to find quite a few. i like their slow songs, too bad i dont understand a single word. they do have some of the songs in chinese version, and jap songs too. hope i wont get sick of them lar coz korean songs all sound quite similar to me. but i can still tell their songs apart lar, like i can tell they are different songs. haha!

woke up at 1pm today.. had the most sleep today! :) was so tired for the past few days...
our first 2 shows are succesful. so far so good :) although something hit us for the past few days, we managed to fix them up. really wierd and was pissed that one of the props went missing the day before our first show!! how can that be except someone did it on purpose?! coz that thing is not worth any money so wat's the reason of it got stolen other than a prank?!!! anyway, alvar and meiqi had it done over again. thanks!! one week left and we'll be back to our study study life again :( hope everything goes smooth for the following week and hope everyone is enjoying the whole process!!
Wat's the point of having a mobile phone when ppl can't reach you by calling ur mobile phone?! very sien with this fren coz everytime i call her, 9 out of the 10 times, can't get her. it's either she's sleeping (ya.. even 10pm she is sleeping), or she's busy or she didn't hear the phone ring. >< very 无奈 arrr!!
today is wednesday liao... i seriously know i have so much work to do and i really need to speed up my pace liao!!
okok.. my target for tonite is... finish Belinda's lectures!! muahaha... doubt that i can make it but i'll try my best... coz i'm a bit sleepy liao now... hmm... mayb i should eat some fruits to keep me awake :D
slept at almost 5am. but now, 9.30am i'm awake already, not able to continue my sleep becoz of the stress! as i thought of how much work i need to do, uni work, ctg work, personal stuff... so much to do! and i'm so reluctant to do any of them!! i'm just tired to go through all these. >.<
2 weeks mid-sem break just started. i have been looking fwd to this break since few weeks ago when all my assignments and tests piled up on me. but now, i'm not happy to hv this break.
Yay!! Got offered the summer student scholarship from PeterMac on monday. was soooo excited when i checked the email at 8pm. and immediately picked up the phone and called my best fren. well, i know i should be calling my parents first. but... haha.. i called them at almost 12. and i had accepted the offer that night after getting the email for abt 5 hours then started to realise this potential clash of the summer work with my 'potential' honours project. coz the honours at MCRI (the murdoch children research institute at royal children's hosp) starts in 5th Feb. and i really like some of the projects there. so, after being worried about that and after discussing with a lecturer/my referee and another lecturer, and then i came up with the solution! :) that is, work for 2 weeks in dec, which means go back m'sia later lor... then come back in early jan to continue. that will be able to let me clear the 6 weeks work by feb. hopefully get some break before starting the honours. and this morning, got email from the supervisor and he's ok with that. so, everything's good now :D
i woke up at 8.17am this morning and missed my 8am lecture >.< mayb i didn't set my alarm clocks (ya.. i hv 2 alarms, one radio alarm and one on my handphone) or i woke up and turn them off (but i dont remember me doin that wor)?!
tonite goin to a fren's 21st, yday nite a fren's bday too... thurs go rehersal, friday ball!! yay!! this week is so fun :D after the stressfull 3 previous weeks, i can finally play play and play until term break starts, i hv to do assignments, and study for test and keep up with my lectures again. :( well, so, let me enjoy first lar!! :D gtg... go ball shopping with fren now...
my crazy week 7 is over!! finally!! now looking fwd to holiday! ooh.. and the M'sian ball on friday :) oh ya... din update abt the petermac application... i got into the interview. and it was on wed. well, i was quite nervous abt it. and just after the interview, i can't tahan myself and called yf to tell her all abt the interview! haha!! will know the result early next week lar... he said if i din hear from him this week, email him wor.. will do it tmr lar. fingers crossed!!
after the interview on tues, went home to prepare my presentation which was on thurs. and i took me till the next morning, 5am only i went to sleep. i hand-written all my 5 slides but have another 4 with the figures had to photocopy onto it. then woke up at 9am to go uni photocopy my OHP slides. i think i'm a bit kelam-kabut during the presentation, missed a few points i realised after the presentation. and luckily one of the lecturer, who always ask difficult questions didn't ask me anything haha!! mayb coz my paper was quite simple, nothing to critise abt? 3 ppl presented that day, i was the last one for the day and for the whole class too coz that's the last day of the series of presentation. 29 ppl in the subject, each person do 1 paper.
few things i'm 'proud' abt my presentation is... i'm the only one who edited (with OHP marker pen) the figures from the paper. those figures are like graphs, or gel photos, or any results that the ppl had done and published together with the paper. and i did a small demonstration abt this 'supercoiling theory' with my mp3 player's earphone wires. :) and a girl in the class said 'cool' when she saw the demo. :D well, i heard her said that before to another person when he has this clever idea of the way he uses his slides. and after the class ended, the lecturer who is the subject coordinator came to me to ask where i got some of my points i presented from. coz he can't find them on the paper. haha... of course lar... coz it's not from the paper. it's some extra research i did :) coz nowadays when u look for a scientific paper from the internet, some of them will have links saying which other papers had referred to this particular paper. so there's where i got the extra stuff from. they are like the more latest info abt that topic coz the papaer i presented was published in 2002. and then he also said to me and another fren who also presented that day, that we did a very good job :)
after that, went home for awhile then went to royal children's hosp for the honours open day in murdoch children research institute. love the atmosphere, like the ppl there, like their projects too!! but i have to enrol my hons trhough the dep of pediatrics in uni. dunno if there's any difference coz i always wanted to do hons in genetics. but then the projects there that i'm interseted in are still genetics stuff wat. hmm... and the hons in mcri starts in early feb next yr. which means IF i got petermac scholarship, i won't be able to work full 6 weeks wor. dunno hv prob or not leh? anyway, see how lar... better not be too confident yet. things wont always turn out to be wat we want it to be. and there's another open day for genetics dep in uni on tues. the hons in the dep starts mid feb. well, there are pros and cons to do hons in uni and in outside (other research institutions). so... see how it goes...
so after the open day, went home... do assignment, friday due. and that took me till the next morning 10am baru can sleep. >.< slept till 12.15pm, that's luckily yeefei sms me abt hving lunch together with another fren too!! if not, i'll sleep until miss the 1pm lec. after lec, went to hand in my assignment. well, i think i din do well for that assignment too. seems like i'm really not an assignment person. i'm more of a test/exam person. hmm... now only i know!! in my final semester!! -_-||| a fren's 21st party at nite... then after that, went home, straight into my bed after my shower at 12am.
slept till this afternoon 12.30pm. ahh... so nice!! and i finally have a weekend where i can really enjoy, have a break from the uni days. :) next week, 1 prac assignment to hand in on monday and that's it for the week! :D yay!! v^-^V
tmr our first full run. quite nervous abt it actually. coz the casts never practice with props before. and tmr will be the first time we'll use it. so actually i should check through all the props tonite since most of the stuff are with me now. but i'm so sleepy liao.. *yawn* ok lar, i'll go check check first... dun want anything wrong to happen tmr :)
How can you tell whether a person is ur true fren, or just fren or hi-bye fren? does it always have to go through many 'tests' to tell them apart?! just tired of guessing and be sceptical all the time. and feel 'cheated' at some time when i THINK the person is not being honest to me. it's all about guessing and how good ur 'analyzing skills' are! >.< i know that i can just stay away from them, and be hi-bye frens but i dont want that to happen coz all my analysis can be wrong! but i dont hv the gut to walk up to them and ask them on their face. dont know why it turned out like this. or it's just me thinking too much? but everything seems so obvious! and i think i shouldn't let myself trust the person at the first place. too late now... Human beings are so complicated!!
Enjoy taking my time walking back home half way from uni. Today on my way home, took a tram till latrobe st, just missed the last city circle tram, so i walked home. While i was walking, i kept thinking and 'analysing' what had happened today so far. well, today after class, went to volunteer for the Festival of Nations. felt so sorry for a fren coz i din take care of his chocolate properly. i know that's just a chocolate.. but... :(
then cabut at 330, went to help a fren with the preparation of her little performance :D
then went to fotoholics IGM at 5.15pm i did a bad job as a returning officer (to conduct the election) for the IGM. after the meeting, i so want to find a hole to hide my face!!! >.< i think i made the IGM so dodgy and inorganized. Feel so bad for that. :(
i think i'm having too many mood swings. as in i feel bad easily, i feel down quite easily too. no good right? hmm.. mayb i should be more forgetful? haha!
Finally can have a small break for some 'fresh air'!! this week is a crazy week for me!! it started on monday... had the genomes and evolution 'exam' (it's worth 20%!) which i only studied the day before. sad to did that sort of thing... that is so not me! before that, i started studying for all my tests or exams at least few days before the day. but this time.. sigh... anyway, can't blame anyone for that except myself...
then tuesday, annoyed by a friend... i know i shouldn't say she's annoying... but.. is this friend i knew from a subj last sem. although we are in the same course, i din know her until last sem. this sem, we have 3 common subjects. the annoying part is... well, i dont like her 'following' me around in between classes. even walking with her to another lecture when we have the same lectures continuously. i admit that i might not feel that way if it's not her. today is not the first time she hang around with me between classes. i know i shouldn't feel that way coz she did nothing wrong! and she is a nice person in the sense that she doesn't mind sharing things she know with u, and she taught me quite a lot lsat sem on one of my subjects. it's like.. i just dont have a good reason to dont like her. >.< i felt bad for myself. it's one of the 'bad thinking' that i hv... i'll be irritated/annoyed by some ppl just because the way they act, or the way they talk! and i have no other reason to not like them! the worse part is.. they're nice person, they're nice to me, but i just dont like them becoz of their 'style', their personality! and i shouldn't be like that coz i can't expect everyone in this world to act/talk like me, right?! sigh... then at nite, went to the Genetics department dinner. it was at the University House in uni. It's a semi-formal dinner, where 306 and 304 students are invited, and also the lecturers, postgrad and honours students from the department. That was my first time going to this kind of 'serious' dinner. haha! well, good to experience though... had to say that most of the time i was listening instead of joining in the chat with other ppl on my table (as what i usually do even when goin out with a bunch of frens), mayb coz frequency not too similar? we were chatting abt some 'science-related stuff' and of course other casual stuff too. and the dinner started at 730pm, but when i got home, it was abt 1130 already..
wednesday... went to the open day at PeterMac at 5pm. before that, i quite like the place so was very looking fwd to the openday. well, not many ppl went though... only.. around 20 students? (well, they'll hv another open day in Sep) conclusion is.. the ppl there are more friendly that those at WEHI. (oops.. dont think any ppl from WEHI will be reading this... anyway, no offence!!) and the projects there interest me more than those at WEHI. then, reach home almost 730. then tried hard to stay concentrate on doing those after-lecture-notes for the exam on friday. but had to go to bed early coz can't concentrate at all... too tired..
Thurs morning... woke up early at 8am to continue last nite's work. went to uni for 11am class. met our supervisor of the project on experimental genetics. and we were given an assignment which comprise 25% marks of the project, due on 8th sep. :( yup, it's a project... mentioning abt that... i'm quite pissed when the fren i mentioned earlier abt tuesday... we were at the library during the break between lecs. i was doing my assignment for my bioinfo project. it's a group work and i'm meeting my group mate later that day so had to do my part of the work. so she asked me what was i doin... and i said that's the assignment for my bioinfo project. and u know wat, her reaction was like: 'u have a project?!' i'm like... why can't i have one?!!! many ppl have one this sem! super 'bu shuang' man!! i'm sensitive to the words 'project' and 'urop' these days coz ... aih... another long story... at the mid of my second year, me and a few frens were applying for urop, which is like a research work for undergrad students. u get to work in a research lab and get paid for it. well, i dint get in, even for the interview. another fren, whose results are far far better than us also din get in for the interview. both of us were disappointed... until now, i'm still disappointed and still dunno why both of us got rejected. i know that results do not mean everything. but how can they just reject her based on that application letter and her brilliant results?! that is just not fair. i mentioned abt that to a lecturer last week and he said that... sometimes that's called networking... but but.. that's just not fair! we were still 2nd year, wat kind of networking u expect from us?! and then this year, 2 of our frens got the job. of course, congrats to them!! but i felt a bit down and really left out when they were talking abt the stuff they're doin in urop. and also with another fren who also has a project on for one of her subjects. whenever the 3 of them are talking abt their research stuff... i so want to run away. again, i know that there's no reason for them to avoid talking abt those stuff in front of me. and i shouldn't act that way. but i felt the gap between us... i feel that we are getting farther apart nowadays... :( it's our final semester together in uni now... and i really dun want to lose this group of frens. but ever since this sem, when 2 of them came back from exchange, i felt left out now... last 2 years, we (not just the 3 frens i mentioned, but more of the 1 of them plus another 2) were together most of them time in uni, having so much common topics to talk abt. i think this happens coz i hv another new circle of frens in uni and they dont overlap with them in my course. and i dunno how to balance between them. so i tend to neglect them. :(
thurs nite... went for the open day at StVincent's. really like some of their projects. and the ppl there seems quite nice too.. will find out more after i clear most of my tests and assignemts. then, went for Sarah's graduation. yup... the last graduation i'm attending before my batch's coming up this dac. ahhh!!! time flies!!! then went home.. study like mad for today's exam (25% arr!!) scared and so worried abt the exam!
this morning, woke up at 8am, study study.. skip the 10am lec. yup.. this is my first time skipping my lecture 'consciously' haha! the exam is at 1pm, and i only hv that 10am lecture before that. so... yea... and i think it is absolutely worth it to skip it. :D now... looking at the assignment on my desk... due on monday.. 500 words report for the bioinfo project.. yes! it's a PROJECT!!! and it says so on our sheet! >.< sien... just now after class, i so dont feel like coming home.. coz need to do work when i come back. but anyway, need to do it lar...
i'm sure next week will be another crazy week for me... helping out with festival of nation, Sam's 21st, oh.. and still thinking if i should apply for a summer work at Murdoch, closing on 1st Sep., then the following week will hv 1 test, 2 assignments and a presentation in that same week!! >.< die die lar... never been this busy in my entire uni life!!
talking abt summer work.. another disappointment from PeterMac summer scholarship :( it says we will be notified this week if are short-listed for the interview... sigh...
Wow.. week 3 of the semester lor!! Time flies!! haha handed in my 1st assignment for this sem today. So now i have no reason to not study and follow up the lectures now. :( haha!! and a 20% and a 25% tests are coming up soon! so better study liao. well, hope i can study hard durin weekdays and then can relax more in weekends.
well, so far there are 2 surprise bday for my 2 frens for the past 2 weeks, anymore coming? well, i dont mind planning surprise for ppl's bday. it can be fun and 'satisfying' when the person is really surprised. :D

CTG CAMP 2006 one and half week of intensive preparation for the camp, which contains arguements, disagreement, unhappie-ness, sleepless, brain death.....it is all over, it is all worth back!!!all these arguements, disagreements make us understand each others better.... everyone seemed to enjoy the camp......n as the camp committee, that is really what we want to hear...
at first, we did worry about whether the campers will find these games interesting or not, if they dun wan to play then how?? but it's proven that we think too much!!! although there were 2 or 3 ppl who do not want to play certain game, but from this, it makes everyone realised something......putting in effort does not means those will be recognised by all. but i know, some really do realised! thx for those ppl.... Matt matt, u gave a really good speech!!!!
been lacked of sleep pre-camp n during the camp.....first day of camp only slept an hour (erm... well, i slept for almost 3 hours)....playing Killer in the cold morning after all planned activities end, when most of the campers slept...we r crazy ppl...but dun play that time, play when??!!! then the second day, i was really really tired.....though i so want to play...end up sleping at 3am n woke up at 8am.....
DAY 1- 21 JUL 06 highlights 1. ice breaking game- it was quite messy due to someone not coming to camp , n some juz join the camp....make our pre-prepare name list become messy....newspapers game was ok.......their team name n slogan r funny... * Triple C * Tempura, Sushi, Sashimi * Whatever is Whatever * We r f^cking bananas * (and station games!! --> there were 6 stations: spider web, 'crossing the river', hoola hoop, card standing, cans and pens, 8 ppl 7 legs)
2. Da Vinci Code --> treasure hunt.....guess most of them found it difficult...mainly because they dun really know the camp well n it was so dark at night..... (and i'm the devil who always lead u to the wrong direction when they came to ask me question)
* clue of " Only drivers care" leads them to car park instead of the slow down sign near the entrance of the campsite. * "Pig run before king kong" make them headache...dunno where izzit....it meant Ping Pong= table tennis (2 teams asked me abt this one... and i made them think it's something to do with food... sorry guys... >.<) * "Behind the scene" cause the most trouble..cause it should be behind the recreation room. It was my mistake, put the next clue inside the recreation room...but then dunno who, not the comittee members, put it outside the recreation room..make few groups cannot find it... * "Kitty's bed" should be the easiest one....which is in my room, under my hello kitty pillow, i purposely bring my kitty pillow so that they can find it. But still, got teams go to look under my car...Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting * "Fishnet on the ring", which is the basketball court...still many ppl missed it... * "Tweety house"- the bird house, many ppl not even know there is this bird house.
3. Suprisingly, our photo taking game was fun n the campers luv it!!! make our efforts of preparation for this game worth back -- 3 hrs of photo taking (at my place and with the help of my 2 frens and 1 former CTG ppl. thanx guys!!), which need to think of the pose for different level ....the "makeup" flour......make us do the cleanning like hell... (good that many ppl helped lar)

DAY 2- 22 JUL 06 highlights
1. Play ground + water bomb game--it was quite a mess for these games at first. cause a few of the campers refused to play it as they said they dun wan to get wet. Because of this, it make all of the committee members realised that putting in effort does not means those will be recognised by all. But as i said before, i know there r lots of them who recognised it!!!n Matt Matt, i have to say that......u gave a really good speech!!! We, the committee members were quite unhappy that time...hence, the instruction given for the playground game was unclear....but then the water bomb game afterward was great!!without those who refused to play!!!!
3 teams were required to stand together on a square wood, then me n Sze Chern take turn to ask questions. then they need to be the fastest to shout out their team slogan to get the chance to asnwer. If answer correct, the other 2 teams will be poured water by other 4 committee members. If answer incorrect, they will be poured water. 2. X-men --> they were given scripts that were pre-written by us. They need to act according to the scripts. There were 4 different scenes(mission) to complete. If they failed, they need to restart again from the first mission although they already completed that mission before. They seem to enjoy it as well!!!

That the offical activities for Day 2....after that...most campers do their own stuffs, play around..while 6 poor committees got to wash all the dishes used for the acting game...omg...at least 200 glasses lor...luckily have dishwasher....
DAY 3- 23 JUL 06 highlights
last morning of the camp.....least ppl having breakfast...everyone rather sleep than eat....after packing up n cleaning around the campsite..we had our prize giving n group photo taking session before heading back to city.
First day of uni today for my final semester... had a 9am lec just now, 1 hr break now. no where to go, dunno what to do, so here i am in the comp lab in union house. 18 contact hours for me this sem, my timetable was quite nice... except a 4 hours break on tuesday before my prac which ends at 6pm :S
came back from CTG camp yday around 4pm and went to bed at 5pm till this morning 7am. with my eyes half closed, brain not functioning in full mode, got 2 sms (thnx, so sweet of you 2) and a phonecall from my mum. can't really recall what i said to my mum now. haha! It was tiring but definitely a fun camp!! the 'after camp feeling' of being in the camp comittee is really different from a camp participant. felt relieved that everthing went fine this time. and glad that everyone (at least most ppl lar) enjoyed the camp. during this 3 days 2 nights camp, i only slept for not more than 8 hours. and i;m sure most of us did, well especially those who were at the ground floor. :P
sigh.. now.. back to uni days again... will work hard and play hard this final sem!! and cherish every moment while being a undergrad :) alright, time for my 2nd lec... ciao!

these few days since i came back from syd, sleeping time is abnormal. slept for 4 hours per day, or even 14 hours per day.
back in melb!! crazy! 5 dozens of krispy kreme!! won't want to do that again! everyone's watching, from syd all the way home! >.< 'wow! how many u got there?!' said the air stewardess. 'ur 1 week supply of doughnuts!' said a skybus passenger. 'i'm sure u like doughnuts!' said the building manager.
miserable weather in melb.. cold, raining. it started raining when i was about to get home. sigh... syd is so sunny!
ok... cont update abt my syd trip... sat: fish market, uni of syd, disney on ice conclusion of the day: will be back for sashimi, will love melb uni more, disney is not just for kids :) i luv it too!
sun: opera house, the rocks, chinatown, DFO, dinner at JuJu (a jap restaurant conclusion of the day: opera hs market is not so worth going, weekend at the rocks is always good with the market although they're abt the same since few years back, breadstory is not bad, 2 tops for me + looking fwd to DFO at spencer st (melb), good food good friends.
mon: Lindt at Martin Pl, Pancake on the rocks conclusion of the day: will be back again for hot choc (dark choc)!!, and pork ribs and of course pancakes!!
tues (today lor): Kingsford airport, Tullamarine airport thought won't hv enough time to get the 'nuts', was panic when couldn't find the krispy kreme stall at first. then was wondering if 5 dozen is too much for the cabin overhead locker. haha! but yea... they fit in just nice :) i was hoping that more ppl will put their bags next to the 'nuts' so that they will 'sit still' in the overhead locker. ended up the 'nuts' shared the space with 2 other small bags and i had 3 seats in a row by myself. phew... next time (if there is), 3 dozen is the max i'll carry! haha!
and i found 3 'cool things' abt syd train (the train itself, train station). i might sound a bit 'sua ku' but.. haha:
1. this thingy where train passengers hold on to it. it's cool coz it's not connected all the way to the bottom
2. the ads and news projected on the wall
3. the seats in the new train which u can change the back of the seats for train going in either direction. coz trains go back the other way after they reach the end station, so if the seats are fixed for one way, ppl will be sitting facing backwards when the train goes the other way. so those seats in the new trains, ppl can just change the 'direction' of the seats so that you can seat 1 of the 2 'directions' u prefer. sounds complicated? :P
Arrived here on wed 4.20pm had korean hotpot as dinner near capitol (not recommended) then went home (where my bro lives)
woke up at 9 something am, vacuum clean part of the house, with the oldest vacuum cleaner i've ever used! took a ferry to circular quay, then train, to Central met up with Ant and his friends. lunch then karaoke! 6.15pm met up with bro at Chatswood. there's a small night market with one of the stalls selling octopus balls. then to Chatswood Westfield. target: houseware :S came home, requested for results. waited from 10pm till 1.15am, gave up... sleep.
this morning, finally got my results! if i'm not mistaken, this is my first time getting my results on 'the day' through SIS itself. i usually request for the results the day before and i'll get it through uni email the night before 'the day'.
it's 5.04 am now... i'm still awake... thought of staying at home spending my time reading (not text books of course!) in my bed whole day yday.
but i ended up went to uni and practise my piano! :D hvn't been touching the keys since beginnig of this yr in kl, and hvn't been playing the pieces i played for my exam ever since i finished the piano exam before i came to trinity! so happy to 'have half of them back', as in... i can't play as smoothly as i did. anyway, it's good to find out that i can always go uni to practise during this holiday!! :D
then, went to watch DaVinci Code in the afternoon. yup... i went alone... first time ever to go to the cinema alone... not a bad experience but i won't want to do that again. haha! coz i hv noone to grab or lean on when it comes to those 'exciting' parts. haha! there were only 10 ppl in total in that cinema! the movie... well... still dont quite understand some of the parts although i'd read the book. and the movie is a bit different from the book. but overall the film was ok-good lor... as in... the whole story happened in a very short period of time... in 1 or 2 days i think... so it's quite rush.
then after dinner, went sing k! :D then went to fed sq for the WC... aus vs italy. i'm not a soccer person, but still, the match was very 'gan jeong'! especially towards the end.
yippie!! finally and officially on holiday now!! so relieved!! yday after the ppr, straight out from the exam hall... felt so so so happy! not because i did well for that ppr, but just happy! met up with Grace who went back last night after the ppr, both of us were too happy and kept on laughing until we got on the tram. haha! i dont remember when was the last time i went home straight after exam. haha!
after the steamboat dinner, which i actually left earlier than some of them coz of the discomfort in my stomach, while waiting for the tram, saw so many shops on sale now!! whee!! want to get myself a wallet this holiday. been 'hunting' for one since 1 month ago... hvn't found one that i really like. ya.. i'm being picky. i think that's good to be picky, so that u won't simply buy things that u'll regret. erm.. well, i did bought things that made me regret of buying lar. haha!
oh and.. talking abt stomach-ache... the chinese medicine i got here is the best!! (ask me for more details if u need it... of course i hope that u don't!) super effective! sigh... this semester.. felt sorry for my poor stomach.. so this holiday must treat it well. :D
last night... felt so happy and senang when i went to bed. during the exam time or uni days, before go to sleep, sure hv things to worry, things to think, things to plan... but last nite... woa... nothing to worry abt.. just 'zzz' is the signal sent through my mind. haha! so happy! 真是无‘试’一身轻! :D
hmm... need to plan wat to do during this hol... watch drama series, movie (including the long 'tahan-ed' DaVinci code), wash my bag, clean the apartment (although not goin to SUPER spring clean it), sort out and scan in our childhood photos, find out abt where to visit in Syd (other than the syd city!) and NZ (still need some research before deciding to go or not), get myself a wallet, hang out with some frens (hopefully), plan wat subject to take next sem ><, erm... wat else?! oh.. and watch soccer! not every match, but at least a few. although i'm not a soccer fan, but how can i not join in the 'fun' during this WC leh?! hvn't watched a single match yet since the WC started.

3 more hours before my exam starts!!! >< it's worth 50% of the subj's marks for this sem. it's a prac subj might sound easy huh... but i'm not goin to let them slip through this time all the questions are like problem solving type... so even there's not much materials to go through (1 lecture + a 3 hour prac per week), it can be tough too.

Can't believe that this is the final week of sem 1 exam period!! and it's tuesday today, which means my paper will be on the day after tmr and last ppr on the following day!!! feel excited about goin to end sem 1 exam so soon but also worried abt the last 2 pprs. :S after my 2nd ppr, which was last tuesday, i've already lost half of the motivation to keep up my study mood. but after yday's study group, my study mood came back again. hope it'll stay with me till friday!! wish me luck!!
You have an average luck quotient. There's been times when you've been extremely lucky... but also times when you've been very unlucky. You probably know that you can make your own luck in life, if you're open to it. So listen to your intuition as much as you can. It's right more often than you might expect.
What do you ppl think abt lending your notes to other ppl? The only question that make me think about my answer is whether that person is 'worth helping'. as in, If that person had worked hard enough but still don't understand the material, i'm very happy to lend it to him/her. But if that person wants to borrow because he/she always skip lectures without good reasons (anyway, what good reason will that be for a STUDENT to skip classes?), i will say no. I might sound very selfish but honestly, that's what i think.
so if a person came to u 6 days before the final exam for that subject, asking you for your notes, should i say that he/she just don't bother to catch up when he/she was left behind weeks (or even months?) before that day? or should i think that he/she simply need your help on some of the stuff that is bothering him/her?
Pls correct me if my attitude is wrong and PLS don't say that i refused to lend my notes becoz i don't want you to do better than me!! that really hurts!!
Went to an extra swot vac tute today. really worried for not able to answer/understand 90% of the things mentioned in the tute!! the exam for taht ppr is on 23rd, my last ppr. but remembering that during the first lecture for that subject (genetic analysis), the lecturer said half of us will fail this subj. ><
hate myself for being sleepy when i really need to concentrate on my studies. anyone has any suggestion to keep me awake? coffee - not effective other junk food - can't concentrate on studies while eating music - me can only study in complete silence how how how??!!!
today (as in.. yesterday?) is 端午节, in case u're wondering wat that is, it's a chinese festival where ppl will eat the 粽子(err... can call that rice dumplings?) and the festival is to commemorate a chinese warrior (gosh.. my translation is bad!!) well, after the extra tute today (10am till 4pm staight), went down to city to look for 粽子. thinking that after having biscuits for lunch during the tute, can have a nice 粽子for dinner, but couldn't get the one with pork that i want! all left was the sweet one. :( so that's today... 没有粽子的端午节 (the rice dumpling festival without rice dumplings)
Last day of the semester... finally.. all the assignments, reports are cleared! went to hand in the 1500 words ABP report today after my classes. a big relief for that one... spent so much time on the project and report but the report only worth 10%.. hmm.. hopefully it is worth all the effort. stayed up till 5.15am this morning to finish the printing. the 2 copies of 19 pages work took me hours to print them all!! i've wasted 16 pages printed with errors, so had to print those pages over again. Well, perhaps it's because me who wants them to be as perfect as possible so that's the price paid. yday, i had been awake since 7am (for the 8am lecture) till 5am this morning. had a 5 hour sleep and here i am now, still quite energetic. :D
met a fren today in uni, haven't seen her for weeks? months? we talked abt a few trinity friends who are goin overseas exchange next semester. seems that a few ppl around me are goin away next sem, either for 1 sem or 1 yr, so propably won't see them for some time till next yr. wonder how it will be next yr... when many of my friends will be finishing their uni degree, including me. will we all still be in melb? will we still see each other?
uni is different from high school, that uni friends came from many different places, even around the world whereas most high school friends came from the same state, well or at least the same country. although my high school friends are now in kl, s'pore, some in taiwan, uk, aus... as long as we're still studying, we are pretty much in contact, hving the 'similar wavelength'. once we're out in the working world, it'll be so different. can't imagine how it'll be.
well, this semester is a very colourful one to me. i can feel that i didn't waste my semester at all. really looking fwd to the next sem and hope that it'll be a great final sem!!
for now, hv to study for the exams lar! still behind many of the lectures, especially molecular genetics :S happy studying to those who are hving exam soon!!
It's been almost a month since i last updated my blog this will be the last week of the semester in uni. but the final 2 weeks of the sem is my busiest weeks which i have 6 assignments, reports, essays and presentation. but now, i have a report and a 1500 words essay yet to be done. no time to catch up my far left behind lectures. really worry abt my exams! 8, 13, 22, 23 June just can't wait to finish my exams.
had my applied bioinformatics project (ABP) presentation on friday. well, it wasn't too bad i should say. but i'm sure we can do better than that. anyway, we're all happy with that. and to be honest, the marks we got is better than what i've expected.
alright then, hv to start writing my ABP essay now... at least to start reading the articles. :S
10 days of easter break is going to end soon... :( still hv lots of work to do... this hol isn't really a break for me, and it's too short!! sigh... well, other than my uncle, aunt and szesze's visit, dun hv much 'entertainment' liao. ooh.. ya, i also consider CTG rehearsals and meeting as my entertainment. haha! as long as i'm out of my studies.
woa... 1 week to go for the Awards night!!! XD after the awards night, i'm back to my own time again! but i'll miss them ... aih.. that always happen after every production. especially those shows that last for 1 or 2 weeks. coz everyday after uni, will go to the theatre and spend the whole night there with the production team around u. then after the last show, everything 'back to normal', won't see those ppl that often anymore. will feel the emptiness at least for a few days. although this sem, it's not a big production, we always see each other during the 4 weeks of workshop, meetings and rehearsals. so i'll still miss all those days and all of them. but good that i can still see some of them at the ctg table during lunch time.. hehe actually, that's the place where i usually hv my lunch this sem. :D aih... now already start to miss them lar...~~
clubs and societies in the uni really make my life more colourful! without them, i won't know many ppl other than my own trinity, biomed frens and i'll be study study and study everyday... no fun! and i've learnt alot from those activities. time management, handling relationship with frens... i can feel that i'm in the uni, instead of just i'm in biomed. get wat i mean? final yr in uni really makes me think of alot of stuff...
till here this time, better study for midsemtest now... ciao...
the 4 days of workshop finally over... but the Awards night is yet to come really feel greatful to all the ppl who had helped out for the workshop I've learned a lot from this workshop... from organizing stuff, time management to managing with ppl. it's a good experience for me hope everything goes well for the awards night!

went to watch Alice in Wonderland in uni... a musical by the Fishnet production the production team took 6 weeks to get everything done... that was really good for 6 weeks of effort! it was a ~2 hour show and to be honest, it was better than what i've expected
and last nite's Night market was fun!! so many food stalls. i hvn't really been to the night market in uni before although muoss has it every year. and this year, many of my friends were selling stuff so it's very fun for me. erm... but feel pai seh for ctg and momu coz actually i was suppose to help selling herbal tea eggs for ctg from 8pm onwards. but they were all sold out before 8pm. so i din help out much for ctg. and momu also... din help anything when i'd promise to help for 1 hour.
aih... mid sem test for genome science coming ar!! next thurs!! better study lar... but still can't find shoes for the ball on thurs!
I miss my piano again.... This morning's 9am Genome Sc lecture was very boring. I wasn't concetrating and my brain was full of piano scores. This is not the first time i miss playing piano in melb. Really want to buy myself a digital piano over here. But a new one costs abt $950! Dunno where to find a 2nd hand one. kept telling myself that i'll save money for that but so far... still a long way to go. haha!
I'm sure everyone has this sort of experience: There's something, x that you really don't like, but due to some other circumstances, u can't change it anymore and hv to use it, the big prob is... x will affect the image of Y. and now, all i can do is... to hope that the ppl who came up with the idea x will realise this prob (which is unlikely to happen), OR to hope those who are using x now will realise the prob and try to improve x.
i keep thinking abt this on and off since everything happened 2 days ago...
other than hoping this hoping that, should i just tell the ppl who came up with that idea??!!
Commonwealth games started on Wed! The fireworks are so nice!!!! those who were in melb city that night, should hv gone to see the live version! Hope to go watch the closing ceremony fireworks if there's one. the closing ceremony is on next sunday. during the CG period, there're some events around melb city.
Yesterday was the first day of CTG workshop! well, to be honest, it turned out better than what i've expected. But there were still some problems (which are unavoidable) during the workshop. and there are still more to be improved. and i hv more to learn too! :) Hope everything's smooth till the end of the Awards night!!!

well, lecs are ok... as in... still very blur but i think should be able to catch up IF i do the readings. haha! But i still need help from ppl who did 215 to do my assignments!!! :( that's so not fair! Biomed ppl can't do 215 (a genetics subject) in 2nd sem 2nd yr. and now in 3rd year, they expect us to know stuff from 215!
CTG workshop is goin to start next sat. hmm... hope that everything will be fine.
*yawn* so sleepy now but i know i should finish my prac hw and assignment before i go to bed. Played tennis for 2 hours today.... that's why i'm so tired now.
and ya... Ai Hui (my primary classmate who is studying in NZ) is visiting melb, end of june! thinking of goin to syd with her in early july. :D hmm.... this winter holiday, i want to go skiing and go sydney. :P
uni starts for almost a week now... feeling a little miserable...
coz hv to work hard dee... it's my final yr u know?! and this week i'm still quite free, but others seem to be busy so ... :( beginning of my 2nd year was even worse... i was so very miserable and sad.. coz i came back to melb quite late... haven't got the time to tune myself back into the uni mood.
and also... 3rd year biomed ppl are in different streams now... :( so we seldom see each other in classes. from 1st year, we see each other at least 12 hours a week; 2nd year.... at least 6 hours a week; 3rd year.... abt 2 hours a week?
we used to walk from one lecture theatre to the other together... we used to sit together during lectures...
Yesterday was the final orientation event of muoss - the Amazing Race although it was raining, we had to cont the event. I was the team leader of 4 strong guys and a sporty girl. we were all running like mad in the rain, going ard city, from lygon st to fitroy garden and crown... there were 8 core checkpoints and 3 bonus ones. we did all of them except 1 bonus checkpoint. before heading back to the finish line, which was at the muoss lounge in union house, i slipped and fell down in uni! gosh.. the first time i ever fell down in melbourne! haha! well, the good thing is our team won the 2nd prize!!! a $300 bowling voucher at kingpin bowling. Team leaders are actually not included in the prizes but my team members invited me to share the prize with them. :D
hmm... uni starts on monday.... :( wish i have another week of holiday!

Woa! my first post since i came back to melb on sunday morning! well, this week, i've been volunteering for MUOSS (Melb Uni Oversease Student Services) during the uni o'week and helping a bit at CTG recruitment. the weather for these 2 days is very hot! it's more than thirty degrees here in melb, well >30 means really really hot in melb. coz the sun is shining hard and it's dry . it's tiring but fun overall. looking fwd to the Amazing Race by MUOSS tomorrow! but the weather forecast says it's goin to rain tmr :( and yesterday in uni, i met a primary classmate whom i hv'nt seen for 8 years! so surprised to see her! in melb!
i just woke up from my afternoon nap... well, i seldom take naps in the afternoon, unless i'm really sleepy (and can't concentrate on my studies or wat) and tired.
and my new flatmate is moving in later tonite. hope we'll get along well :D
starting to get bored liao.... at home... not goin anywhere... sien.... not that there's nowhere to go.. but noone to go with ... when hv ppl to go with, no transportation.
This trip to genting was.... quite OK... as in... not too interesting . haha! It was my first time to enter the casino in genting. and also my first time to the cinema there. We didn't bother go outdoors since it was too cold and quite misty
went to primary 5,6 class teacher's house yesterday. 19 of us went. haven't seen some of them for years! even since we left primary school! It was very good to catch up with each other. Hope that the MSN group that we've set up will keep us all in touch. :D
visited my piano teacher in the evening. a good catch up with her and another friend who is her piano student.
looking forward to 'fully utilise' these 2 weeks before leaving. :D
Just came back from Penang this afternoon. the traffic was quite bad on our way back. it took us almost 6 hours drive to get home. it usually takes abt 4 hours. this year's cny is... as usual... eat, angpao, play, visiting and sleep. haha! the weather is so hot in penang!!! as usual lar that is.
hmm.. missed the highschool cny gathering. :( last year as well! I was still in Penang. duh...
well, abt 2 and a half weeks, i'll be in melb lar. that's fast! no mood for uni yet. :D

It was my 21st bday yesterday... Did nothing 'unusual' at home during the day since i woke up, except recieving bday greetings from my friends....
i got my 1st one, an sms from Gary at 12am, which is before i slept. then after i woke up, in the morning... the 1st greetings on the phone is from CheeLup!!! from UK!!! so touched that you called!! the 1st sms since i woke up is from Khai Ern... my primary classmate. then... the 1st bday greeting on msn is from JingYing... my ex-housemate in Melb. also thanks to friends that sent me E-cards, sms, or even a testimonial on friendster :P, or a simple msn msg...
i only got sms from 1 person before i went to sleep. :( awww.... haha... anyway...
then went for dinner with my family... we went for the Hakka 'lei cha'. a traditional dish for Hakka ppl. it is one of my favourite food in KL! then we came home, took pics, cut bday cake!! my 3rd b'day cake for this year's bday!! haha!!
there goes my 21st birthday... although the birthday is just a normal day on the calender, it makes the birthday girl/boy feels her/himself being the important person, at least for the day...
so, what does being a 21-year-old mean ? to me.. it means the same since i was 20... to my parents... also no big diffr gua?? hmm.... still wondering...
had a good b'day steamboat dinner last night with my college, albert hs friends. Thanks guys!! erm... last night as in Sunday night. :) SzeSze was there too! and we celebrated our bday together. :D i've been thinking of how to celebrate our bday.. our first idea was karaoke... 2nd idea was a lunch or dinner at MidValley... 3rd idea was by KimHoong... seafood at somewhere at the Extreme Park... then later KH found out that the Extreme Park was closed ... for some reason... so he suggested to go to this steamboat buffet near Sunway.
It was a good dinner... first time gather with them (except YeeFei) since i came back from Melb last Dec. it was a simple celebration but we're all happy... that's the most important point right? Hope SzeSze enjoyed too!
well, i cut my 2nd bday cake for this year after the dinner. haha! the first one was a chocolate sponge cake at s'pore... SinYee was the one who went to choose the cake... :) this 2nd one was a blueberry cheesecake... Yee Fei's the one who bought it... :) yay... both are my best friends... knew SinYee since form 1... knew YeeFei since Trinity... eh... both of them have a word 'Yee' in their names :D
Yup... just went for my primary classmates gathering today... we went to this restaurant at the Curve where you can hv live band playing (and singing) songs dedicated by the customers. good band!
i haven't seen some of them for years!!! as in... 5 years or more!! but we all still look the same. haha! good to catch up with them... hope to see them again during CNY at our form teacher's house :D
Wheeee.... came back from S'pore yesterday evening. had good time in s'pore... met up with high school friends from NTU and NUS, Melb friends and few ppl i knew from my last year's trip at NIE. thanks to you guys for making all the gatherings fun!
I went to s'pore on Sat... then sun nite 15 of us went for steamboat at Marina despite the heavy rain!! it was hot but fun!! we were busy eating, busy chattin, and busy hiding behind our own 'human barrier' to drink the drinks that we brought from outside. haha!
It rained every single day when we were there... oh ya... i went to s'pore with YeeFei. we took a 5.5 hours train down to Woodlands where i met my aunt and cousin.
Monday night was SinYee's 21st bday :D someone almost got thrown into the NIE lake.. but failed... haha! that was their 'tradition' during bday celebrations.
then... during uni days... went to meet them for lunch during their lunch breaks... went to a 2nd yr engineering (physics... talking abt fluid) lecture and a 2nd yr chinese theatre appreciation lecture. we couldn't stand the boredom so went out of the physics lec after 30 mins. while for the chinese th appreciation one... we couldn't get out half way through coz there were no break at all during the 2 hours lecture! and the lec was a small one... only abt 70 students there. so the lecturer can easily see who's doin wat. haha... but.. well... it was a new subject for me... kind of interesting thou... we got to watch those traditional chinese stage theatre.
ooh... i tried their Fan-tastic burger at McD! imagine a McChicken burger... replace the 2 pieces of bread with 2 'pieces' of rice it's good leh! I couldn't find it in M'sia.
then on thurs... met up with Marian, LeeXin etc... months since i last saw Marian. Heard many interesting stories from LeeFen. haha!
The night before we left s'pore... they 'surprised' me by celebrating my 21st bday (that's almost 1 wk earlier) at my aunt's place 'surprised' coz i did hear their noise and footsteps when they are coming. haha! anyway... it's so nice of you guys!! thank you!! *hugs*
This trip to s'pore wasn't a long one... compared to last year... i was there for almost 1 month. but it is as good as the last one! coz i spent more time with you guys... the only thing to be regret is... i still didn't visit NUS!!! :( :( stupid rain!! SinYee actually planned to bring us there on Sunday but it rained the whole day!!!! aih...
In s'pore now.... having great time here in NTU. haha! i came here with YeeFei... goin back on this friday It rained the whole day yesterday!! from morning till mid nite before i slept. last nite, my highshool mates from NTU and the few of them from NUS went for steamboat at Marina Bay despite the heavy rain~ it was fun! haha!! and we just went to a (quite boring one) engineering lec just now... it was a 1 hr lec but we left 30 mins early. so i'm now in the library.. waiting for them to hv lunch together. :D looking fwd to SinYee's b'day celebration tonite!! yay! hmm.. looks like it's goin to rain again today.. :( pray hard! haha!!
Yesterday nite, me and another 3 primary school frens went out to hv a drink. it's been years since i last seen 1 of them. so good to hv primary school mates still in touch!! 8 years since we left our primary school!! some of us even graduating this year! man... that was fast!!
today... had been watching a 25 episode taiwanese drama series from 10am till 1045pm today! i like to watch drama series... don't mind sacrifice my sleep to watch whole nite if it's a good one. that's wat i did in melb after the exam.
well... can't wait to see you guys in s'pore!! hope to visit NUS this trip. :D

Went out with a primary school fren today... where to? after lunch, we went to our primary school! haha! well, just drove around it, didn't get off the car. Never went there for years now! ever since i left school, i only been into the school for once (for a price giving ceremony) and that's it! haha! then to my sec school. haven't been back there for almost 2 years now. The buildings are still the same saw some pics of my teachers... most of them still look the same thou :D then went to the Curve. hmm.. next time hv to go there for RedBox lar! haha! Had a great time today. :D thanks buddy! Hope that next time we don't hv to 'count 1 2 3' again (u know wat i mean)! haha!
It's my first christmas in melb!! eh.. hang on... i think this is the 2nd one... ya... i've been here in melb few years ago. that time, i left on the 26th i think... or 25th? but definitely not 27th!
well, this is my first christmas in melb city!
went to the crown for the christmas carols at 8.10pm after that, we waited for the flame along the river but it didn't come out! so we went home after that. :(
then, watched the Carols by Candlelight on tv. it's actually a 'concert' in Melb, an open-air stage. next time if i'm in melb for christmas, must go to their rehearsal on the 23rd! it's far cheaper than the real show... ya.. you need to pay for the REHEARSAL!! and another thing is... a fren just told me that Boulevard in Ivanhoe has lots of xmas decorations! many houses there are decorated for the xmas. i remember seeing few houses like those at Endeavour Hills
hmm... my 2 'christmas plans' if i'm in Melb during xmas... 1) go to the REHEARSAL of Carols by Candlelight then watch the real thing on tv 2) see decorations at Boulevard in Ivanhoe :D
i guess things i like most abt xmas are the carols and the decorations oh... and see if i can add this on my list... boxing day shopping! haha!
Went to Syd for 6 days. came back yesterday night (just hours ago).
well, this trip wasn't as good as i've expected. but it's still alright. met 2 new friends (should call them our family friends), met up with a friend, and mum's old schoolmate (or classmate?) I think it's not a good trip for someone who has never been to syd coz we didn't go to many 'tourist spots'. and i haven't been to the Fish market!!! :( next time to syd, it's a must go destination for me!! haha!
It's sooooo good to be (back) in Melb. I miss my bed, my pillow, my toys, my quilt, my room, and my internet!!!! I went to bed early in Syd, everynight before 12 (except one day, 12.30).
coming back to melb means a few more days before goin back to my 'real home'... looking forward to meet my friends there, shopping in kl and the fooooood!!
got my results today.... really disappointed by pathology... the 80% ppr with 3 essays + dunno how many (forget d) short answer questions now that i've got my results, another decision to make now...
anyways, tmr mum and dad are goin to the GreatOceanRoad day trip. hope they'll enjoy while me and my grandma will be at home... hmm... i'll make a chocolate cheesecake with her.
Why can't i treat my parents the way i treat my friends?! really hate myself for that!!! To be honest, although they are here now... i'm not as happy as you thought i'll be. I know this is not right. I'm easily annoyed by the little things that they do. they don't have bad intension at all... but i'm just... feel bad abt that... :(
this is my dad's first trip to Australia. for sure i want him to enjoy his stay here! but now... i've screwed things up. mayb i've expected too much from them. mayb i should just 'adapt' to 'how' they are.
i admit that i did change ever since i came overseas to study... if not, i wouldn't feel like this right? as in... i don't recall myself being annoyed by them when i'm still in high school!

feel disappointed with her coz... whenever i ask her for opinion when i hv problems or facing a dilemma, wat she says is exactly wat i've thought of before i open my mouth to ask her. and sometimes, I am the one who will be telling her why her ideas don't work! plus she won't ask me more abt the situation and stuff. therefore that makes me very reluctant to tell her more abt it. so... wat's the point of me mentioning my problems to her?!! she might think that i'm old enough to make my own choice. but i just want someone who can at least discuss the problem with me, i'm not hoping for a direction!
When all of my friends whom I usually hang out with went back to M'sia already, (well, except that SzeSze is here in melb but with her family) a 不速之客 came and 'stay' with me who is that? a pigeon! -_-||| it laid eggs in the only pot of plant that i have at my balcony! ya... EGGSSSSS! 2 of them!!! -_-|||
anyone know how long it'll take for the eggs to hatch and then fly away? hope she won't lay anymore eggs from now on! she laid the first egg on Tuesday, and I saw the 2nd one today. -_-||| aih....
well, it was very hot in Melbourne today... was 33c in the city at ard 4.30pm went merayau-rayau in melb central in the afternoon... ooh... merayau-rayau means strolling in malay. although i was alone, i quite like it that way. well, sometimes lar... still prefer being together with frens. :) i went up to the cinema in Melb central... Harry Potter starts showing today! but hmph... noone to watch with... u guys went back already!! :(

Duh... woke up late this morning! miss the first hour of revision class. so just went for 1 hour class and went home before the last hour (coz i think it's not very worth staying). and i realise that it took me less than 30 mins to walk home from uni!! i always thought it's far but it's actually not too bad.
ok, and i thought of another thing that i can do during my holiday (ya.. started planning alrady) that is... find out abt dreams... the meaning of those dream ppl (mostly me) had. i'm always curious abt wat are the meaning of those dreams i had. and i had a bad one last nite. and when i woke up, i went: luckily it's just a dream!
Yay! First ppr done!! Can't wait to get IBS out of my brain! need more space for the coming 2 pprs. have to put both of them in my brain at the same time coz only 1 day in btwn the 2 of them. ooh... i'm sure time flies as soon as i start my first ppr. yay! which means, holiday coming soon!!!

Haven't seen most of my uni frens for weeks now... until today... done some calculations on my IBS marks after getting the 2nd mid sem test results few days ago. never been 'calculative' before but this time. was on the border line (for getting H1. ya.. i know... don't shoot me on that! haha!) for first sem IBS 1 so bit 'worried?' abt this sem's IBS 2 and since mid sem results sucks!
Yesterday, went to the city, thinking of getting an electrical fan. BigW, Target... sold out! few left in Safeway and HN. i didn't buy at last... went to Myer to have a look, saw the coolers there... sooooo cooling!! but it's too exp... so forget it. well, i think i'll just use the build-in fan in my living room at the meantime and study in the living room... which is even better coz less distraction by this computer! haha!

Hmm... i just woke up 20 mins ago... this morning 7 something, i woke up suddenly to get my quilt back from the other room coz i had been using a thinner blanket this few days... then i went back to sleep again... and started to dream abt this... (those in the bracket is wat really is in reality. haha!)
it happened in CHKL, 国字楼 dunno which floor but definitely not the ground floor. it was the first day of my 高二. haha! so it's still early, sky was still quite dark (which is true coz we start class at 7.40 but i usually arrive at abt 6.30 and the sky is still quite dark) but many ppl were there already... first day of school gua... i remember seeing my counsin sis (who is 13 years old or so), her mum, my 2 aunts (they are primary school teachers in Pg).
then i went to the toilet ... and found that there was no more toilet ppr! then i saw this door in that toilet which leads to another room! that's the store room where they keep the new toilet ppr and stuff... haha!
ok.. then something wierd happened...
the few of us, went into the toilet to practise our song! seems like we're in a band or something... with me playing saxaphone (which i dunno how to!)... in a toilet!! how 'interesting' it is! after we're finished, we walked out and saw many ppl lining up to use the toilet. and from their faces, seems that they don't know wat we were doin in there for so long. -_-|||
ok... after that... class start liao... everyone go into their own classes but i didn't coz i went to the toilet ... again??!!!! it's a unisex toilet! (hmm.. since when CH have unisex toilets?) and by the time i came out, my class teacher had just left... guess who is that? it's 黄国兰! (my 初一班主任 and chinese teacher. she also taught me chinese for one or 2 years after form one) so i went into the class... 5s1... shocked to see so many ppl in that class! 70 something students in that class! (we had abt 59 ppl in my 5s1) i remember that i said: '我坐哪里啊？' then someone (sorry... forgot the face) pointed to an empty seat for me... and gosh... coz we had too many students, we have 5 ppl sitting in the middle in rows but sharing 3 desks only! which means 2 ppl have to 'sit back' and no desk to use! i'm one of the unlucky ones....
and who's in that class? hehe... there's 林欣怡 (a Ktn primary classmate) who sat on my left and she has a twin sister in the class too! (i'm sure she doesn't have one in reality! haha!), then a MUOSS (Melb Uni Overseas Student Services) fren sat on my right, then further right is JY. then behind me is 倩俐 .... on her left is a guy but i forgot who is he dee....
ok then... i heard someone said... '国语干事要换' ... means... they've just chosen a 国语干事 in 黄国兰's class??!! 黄国兰 is teaching us BM??!! That's interesting!! haha!
then there's no teacher in the class at that time coz she left early... and in front of the class is this big projector screen, showing MTV! (well, of course we didn't have huge projector screen in our class. we have white boards) I think the song is 杨丞琳's 暧昧 and the 2 ppl sitting next to me are busy copying down the lyrics! -_-|||
then i asked wat did i miss in 黄国兰's class... the MUOSS fren showed me his notebook, with the list of all 10 subjects... and the details abt how much weightings are each of the tests and exams. woa!! he did the 'hw' before class even started! he said his mum wants to know abt it so he did the 'research' in advance...
well.. that's abt wat i remember from the dream... haha! sorry if u think it's a boring dream... but it's wierd for me coz ppl from my different circles actually came together in that dream! and some of you might not understand the whole thing... but.. that's how the dream was. :)
I usually dream every night when i sleep... is that good or bad?

:( miss the days me and JY chat till late at night... miss the days when we tell each other abt any interesting stuff that happened during the day...
hate it when u usually (always) go back to m'sia earlier than me! becoz i was the one who see you pack ur stuff like crazy (coz u always leave at the day u had ur last ppr), and becoz i was the one who peeped at the windows to see if the taxi had arrived... and then i'm the only one in the empty space... :(
Hmm... I started to think that, maybe i shouldn't say NO when mum and dad asked if i need them to come and 'take care' of me during my exam time. haha!
Think of it now... if mum is here, I wouldn't have to think of what to eat every single meal until sometimes when i know i SHOULD be hungry but i'm not! coz i dunno wat to eat and don't feel like eating... if dad is here as well, then they can keep each other in companied while i'm studying. and most importantly, if mum and/or dad is here, i'll be at least more 'disciplined' to study. haha!
The reason i don't want them to come during my exam time is that i thought they'll be a distraction for me studying, and i don't have much time to spend with them and they'll feel bored here in melb!
but now... i think that the pros are more than the cons. haha!! hmm... next year? haha! __________________________
Found this 'thing' called Graduate Diploma in Genetic Counselling. hehe Genetic Counsellor... sounds cool to me! haha!! from now on... i'll consider that as one of my career options. :D
